About Nokori.

What do we do?

Nokori is a Sydney-based social impact company focused on creating integrated scar-care and recovery protocols for patients undergoing a surgical procedure.

We design tailored solutions that reach beyond just skin and scar because we understand that the process of recovery encompasses more than just the physical wounds.

To date, we’ve already supported 1000+ patients throughout their healing journey.

What do we stand for?

Nokori means ‘Rest’.

Rest isn’t only about sleep. Sometimes it’s simply a pause, little moments of respite or creating time to relax.

At Nokori we’re all about being there for you during the little, but important, moments of your healing journey. Whether it’s preparing the skin pre-procedure, reviving it afterward, enhancing the healing of scars or helping patients to improve their overall well-being post-procedure.

That’s why we created Nokori, to provide you with a place to rest, and feel comfort.

Meet some of our People.

Nokori Founder Helen Leith

Hey there, my name is Helen..

I have over 15 years of experience in healthcare — mostly within the breast specialty — and I have been working alongside countless surgeons and medical professionals worldwide, many of which specialise in plastic and reconstructive procedures in Australia.

I have always been intrigued by the power that our mind holds over our well-being. When I feel physically fit and mentally positive, life flows and challenges are easier to overcome. But when I feel muddled, life turns into a battle and things get rapidly complicated. So I wonder, when we face a stressful event — such as surgery — what can we do to keep our physical and mental wellbeing in check and increase our chances of a strong recovery?

..and I’m Nokori’s founder.

Having spent 15 years in the medical field, I have observed many patients undergoing surgery and seen first-hand the physical and mental strain that can accompany it.

Witnessing this and my passion for personal health inspired me to create Nokori. With Nokori, I have and will continue to collaborate and partner with specialists to produce solutions that support patients throughout their procedure, helping them achieve better scarring and giving them access to a holistic approach to recovery that encompasses all physical and mental aspects of one’s healing journey.

And I’m Jo..

I am an experienced growth consultant with a passion for social ventures and impact investments, particularly in spaces like biodiversity,  mental health and personal growth.

I have accompanied Helen in building Nokori from the ground up, and I’m fully committed to investing more and more of my time and energy into this fantastic project. I hope we get the chance to grow Nokori into the beautiful social-conscious, impactful, and people-focused company we both envisioned from the start.

We’re only at the beginning of our journey. Yes, we are young but also bold, blooming, and full of great ideas.

..and I’m Nokori’s co-founder.

My journey into impact investing started 15 years ago in Senegal, where a group of university colleagues and I launched the Diama project, an initiative focused on sustainable social and economical development and indigenous wildlife preservation.

Today, our project focuses on humans, and indirectly the world we humans live in. Our intention through Nokori is to bring to life our own vision of what a company could be, or should be. With Nokori, we strive to create a business built on simple human values: respect, support, and care.

Let’s see where this takes us, and what it makes of us. Hopefully, it makes us part of the solution.
